Privacy Policy
Guitar Showcase respects your privacy and appreciates the sensitive nature of your personal information.
As such -
Regarding the type of personal information collected:
As verification of identity, ShowcaseSwapShop.com will require some personal information, such as name, driver's license, and e-mail address from those customers who wish to view their consignment account details online. This process is necessary to restrict access to your account, in the interest of ensuring that your personal account information remains secure.
The uses to which this information will be put:
Once you have verified your identity, you will be given the opportunity to select your own unique user id and password: these will serve as your exclusive means of accessing your account. You will only be asked for your personal information once, unless you forget and need to retrieve your user id and/or password, for which your personal information will need to be re-verified.
Mailing lists:
During the process of identity verification, you will be given the opportunity to opt out of the Swap Shop e-mail list. The Swap Shop does not as of this date participate in e-mail advertising, but in the future may choose to send information on special offers or events of interest to customers. Any such e-mails will only be sent to those customers who did not opt out when signing up for online account access, or who otherwise specifically request to receive them. Any customer who later wishes either to opt out of, or conversely, to sign up to receive these e-mail notices may do so by e-mailing customerservice@showcaseswapshop.com.
The Swap Shop does not at this time regularly circulate a traditional mailer, and it is unlikely that we will choose to do so in the future. However, we may from time to time send out seasonal sale mailers or mailers targeted to the specific interest of a certain groups of customers.
Sharing of your personal information:
ShowcaseSwapShop.com does not and will never sell any of your personal information, including your e-mail address, to any third party. Any information you provide will remain exclusively within the domain of Guitar Showcase and the Swap Shop.

Account Information Disclaimer:
The Swap Shop makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of your account information. However, some administration and human factors can affect the information in your file.
Sales do not post immediately
As a result of the procedure required to process receipts, sales may not be reflected in your account for three or more days.
Checks are not immediately available
Checks are typically written twice a week and vetted before being signed off on, and only then updated to the database. The Swap Shop makes every effort to have these checks available within five days of the sale.
General Erroneous information
While much of the Swap Shop's operations are automated and mistakes rare, ultimately the process can be susceptible to hardware and software malfunctions, and unavoidably subject to a certain degree of human error.
Such errors may be reflected in your account in various ways, such as (but not limited to):
Inaccurate sale information - e.g. an item's correct sales status may not be displayed, or a
wrong sale price may appear.
Inventory issues - e.g. it is a remote possibility that a piece of inventory could mistakenly
be repeated or omitted when you drop off a large consignment. Please make sure to double-check your consignment contract for accuracy before leaving.
The Swap Shop and its staff do their best to track every single item left in their care: HOWEVER, owing to obvious logistical constraints, neither the Swap Shop nor its employees can be held in any way liable for the loss of, or damage to, any items left in the shop for more than 90 days. Please see your printed consignment contract for details.
Please contact the Swap Shop at <Info@ShowcaseSwapShop.com> if you have any questions about your account information. While Guitar Showcase and the Swap Shop cannot be held accountable for any errors or incorrect information, every effort will be made to correct any problems as soon as they are identified.
